Natalie Came to Visit Us

Manny and I were so excited for our niece Natalie to visit us for a week here in Santa Barbara. Before she arrived I found some camps around town that Natalie might want to attend and then I found the coolest camp ever. A Surf camp and knowing Natalie loves the water and socializing, I thought it was a perfect fit.

We picked her up in LA where we met Manny's parents and did a little fabric shopping (something is in the works with the fabric) It was great to see them and catch up, oh and the resturant we ate at.. the picture explains it all.. The food was good too..



It was Sunday and we all woke up and decided to show Natalie Santa Barbra, we went to the Shoreline Cafe where we sat and ate breakfast while putting our feet in the sand and sitting on the beach. We then had to go the beach and fly a kite.

Then after a bit of walking we ended up on the pier where her and I went to the Marina Museum, and saw the coolest fish. Then we all had dinner at Longboards, another prime tourist spot. I think we showed her the beautiful Santa Barbara properly.


Monday was the first day of Surf camp for her and I told her that if she didnt like it that we could get a full refund. I could see in her face that she wasnt sure about it. But that sure wasn't the case when I picked her up!! She had the biggest smile on her face and she even caught her first wave on her very first day at surf camp!! Manny and I were proud. She couldn't wait till the next day!! I was excited she was loving the camp!!!

Later that week Natalie and I went shopping and came up on some really good sales!!! Oh and Natalie discovered YOUGURTLAND!! The best place on earth!! I admit it was nice to have her in town cause we had an excuse to go there for dessert a couple times during the week.

Then it was time for an experience by the water which we knew she would love. We went and had fresh crab at the crab shack.

We were having so much fun with her. The best part was Manny and I got to go to so many places. We even took her to the park where she did an obstacle course four times under ten minutes. She won more YOGURTLAND!!!

Thursday we took her to a concert in the park where she met our friends and enjoyed good music by the ocean.

Friday Manny and I went to go and watch her surf, there were hardly any waves but we both had a great watching her. She looked like a professional surfer girl in her wetsuit in all.

We had a great time with Natalie!!! Maybe next summer she might be back!
